So it's been a while...

Arizona registration & emissions are gonna kick my ass this month. Work is goin all right, I got a few promotions and a raise, but I still don't think i'm making nearly enough money for what I do, i'm considering going to another company, as most of them pay substantially more money for my position than what i'm currently making.

I went on vacation for a week right before the 4th, and saw my parents and some extended family. I was mostly in LA & Portland, Oregon was really beautiful though as it didnt rain once, but was never too hot. It's soo green there.

Life at the Tortorice house is...interesting, but it works, and for the rent I can't really complain too much. Me and Lisa still get along really well when we see each other, and so I think i'm managing pretty well.

Since May I seem to have had a nonstop night life, and long days of exhaustation followed by more nights of going out. It's gotten to the point where if i'm still at home by 8pm I feel restless, and if i'm home before midnight I feel like a loser, its a really bad place to be in and I need to grow up and get over it, especially since now I work every weekend at 7am, and going to bed at 4 or 5 and getting up at 630 is not healthy, but i'm workin on it, and if nothing else, by the time school starts again I wont have time to do that so often, so hopefully i'll figure it out.

I finally managed to unpack everything after three months of procrastination, and I think it looks really good. Lisa was also very impressed, and I only have a select few things left to do, like clean out my closet, and hang a few framed things and such. Everyone ought to come over and give me their thoughts.

Anyway, that's how things have been going, and I hope everyone is doing well and I apologize for not keeping better in touch, but the last couple months have been crazy and there has been ALOT of changes.

I have way too much going on right now. My bday is on Saturday. I'm really excited! My social life is driving me to exhaustion. lol. It seems like with work, school, and my life, I only come home to sleep and then go back out. Its like a constant stream of driving, talking, shopping, eating, spending money, and more and more talking and hanging out. Also, throw in some partying and its basically my life at the moment...plus work and school. Anyway, I gotta do some prep stuff for mock trials tommorow.

....update: I finally have closure with italian/AE guy, and that makes me a lot happier. I also have a light day at work, and then hopefully a nice, quiet evening. I also have to do a prom post and basically a recap of the last two weeks, so that'll come later.

Last night went much better than I had expected. I got my tux early, me and Amy shopped FOREVER, and before hand we went to AF and bought matching polos and OF COURSE we popped the collars. lol. I got a call from Joe, who was way NW in OV with Alex at the time, but we convinced him to come all the way back to the east side, and have dinner with us. So we met him at Claim Jumper, but the wait was too long, so we went to Chili's which was right down the road. I was so hungry and it was sooo good. Anyway, many good times were had, and it was a great night. Also, apparently now we all have a limo this weekend. Anyway, gotta get to class.

So since my scholarship doesnt start till this fall, i've decided that I will not take any classes this summer, and simply work...all the time. lol. It should be a lot of fun though. I'm also planning a bunch of road trips, and I wanna go to Flagstaff, San Diego, Austin(Since I heard its the place to go in TX), obviously Pheonix, and then I already took off two weeks over the fourth of july to go thru CA(SD, SF, SB, LA) and visit old friends, and then I have to go thru Oregon to visit family. I'm really excited, and I think I wanna use all my graduation money towards traveling, but we'll see. I also really wanna go to the east coast like FL or NYC, but I don't know anyone that would be able to afford to come with me on such a trip, nor do I have any idea where i'd stay, so I don't think it will happen.

Well, just thought i'd mention some of my summer plans.
I'd love it if some of you are interested in tagging along. I think it would be a lot of fun. Some trips i'm already commited to going with people, but others I have no idea who all is gonna go. Anyway, gotta get to work.

So I paid $50 to find out that my radio is totalled, and that I can ship it back to Infiniti and have them repair it for $500, or I can replace it. Unfortunately, its a Bose stereo system, and not only does no place in town carry bose car stereos(including the bose store itself), but I can only put another bose system in my car unless I wanna pay $1000 and get my entire audio system replaced. Also, my stereo unit is so large because it has cd, tape, and radio, with a large monitor, that if I put any other bose stereo in, that isnt identical to the one I have, there will be a large gap, and my climate controls(which is one of those advanced digital temp. control systems) rests on top of the radio, so that wouldn't fit properly with any other radio than the one I have. Therefore, I'm screwed. SO, my mission is to find a stereo pulled from another J30, and put it in mine. These are very rare and hard to find, but there is one online from this one place that I might be able to get a really good deal on. I won't know till the end of the week, not to mention it has come down to, do I want to go to the second prom I was planning on attending, or getting a new working stereo for my car asap. I think i'm gonna go with the stereo, since i'm already going to one prom, and that should be enough anyway, but we'll see. I really don't want to spend anymore than $200 for a new stereo, but we'll see how lucky I can get. Also, I found out that, if working properly, my stereo should be able to play cdrs as well as regular cds, which my current one does not do, so im excited to finally get a REAL cd player. lol.

Regardless, i'm gonna drive the Lexus to get Amy and all that prom stuff, since its much newer, better, nicer, has a working 6cd Nakamichi stereo, and is an SUV. It's no limo, but at least I won't feel like a complete loser(not that my car is bad or anything, but its just really embarassing not to have a working radio.), plus I won't be using my gas either. lol. May as well take advantage of it while its still here for another month.

In other events, WHO WANTS TO GO SEE THE INTERPRETER WITH ME ON FRIDAY!!!??? SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THEY ACTUALLY WANT TO SEE THAT MOVIE TOO!? PLEASE???!!! Anyway, let me know if you're interested.

I once again was canceled on. lol. It's not even worth getting into it. I'm really trying to stop caring about him. Anyway, went to class, went to work, came home. That was my day.

Tommorow I have to take my car in to get the radio fixed, and then I hope to tan. The first prom is on Sunday. I get the tux I ordered on Thursday. I'm really excited. Wednesday me and Amy have to go and get the shirt i'm supposed to wear cuz it matches her dress. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, i'm gonna go out and grab some dinner. Maybe i'll get some chinese take out...that sounds really tasty right now.

So I was just notified that there was some glitch in billing on my cell, and apparently I won't have to pay March's bill till the beginning of May; however, they are also gonna make me pay half of April at that time too(It's really odd), and so apparently I have to pay about $100 for my phone on May 1st. Ouch. I guess I can't complain though, as it has put off my ugly cell bill for an extra month.

I have a mandatory Starbucks meeting tommorow at 7am. ON MY DAY OFF!!! Apparently it's because too many people can't seem to do what they're supposed to so now we all get to sit around and be lectured for an hour. I'm pissed that after working ten days straight i'm rewarded on my day off with a mandatory meeting.

Anyway, tommorow after my meeting, im gonna go get my car's radio fixed(i think i did something while driving and the power connection got disconnected or something), then im supposed to meet up with Karlie for lunch at Pei Wei(P.F. Chang's seat yourself restaurant, but it still has the same menu and is really nice, just slightly cheaper, and much closer to drive to), and then Amy for prom outfit shopping. Afterwards, I'm gonna see who wants to go to dinner with me, then I have to drive to the west side and meet up with Amy again to do some shopping at Hollister and hopefully Off 5th, followed by possibly a movie or party, depending on what we're up for. I'm really looking forward to it all tommorow.

Anyway, I'll try to take some pics, especially if I manage to pick out my outfit for Salpointe's prom, but I still have to decide what to wear to Sabino's prom.

There has been Salpointe drama like woah, but me going with Amy to her prom is still on.

Also, it appears that I will in fact go to Sabino's prom, despite my reluctance. I was finally talked into it by the group i'll be going with.

The talent show was fcukin awesome, and I had soo much fun hangin with everybody. I think we were some of the loudest and most outspoken in the audience. lol. Anyway, everyone ended up deciding they all wanted to go out afterwards, so they all hopped in my car and this other girl's SUV cuz we had the nicest cars of the bunch, and we all went out. It was crazy, and im tired as hell and have so much work to get done before I go to bed tonight, which is so not gonna happen. Anyway, I had a lot of fun, and I think the next couple weeks are just gonna be crazy with everything going on. I'm really looking forward to it.

Obesity rate of children in the state of Texas: 1 in 3, and in certain counties its as bad as, 1 in every 2.

Yet another reason why i'm so glad i've never lived in Texas. Those numbers are outrageous,and say so much about American life.

I'm apparently going to Salpointe's prom. I'm rather uncertain of how this will turn out, but it'll be interesting. I just couldn't tell Amy no. I asked her why she asked me to go with her, and she said it was because I was the only one who complimented her hottness with my own, wasnt catholic, and was the most mature and best dressed guy she knew. lol. I will give her one thing though, even I can see she is really hot, and she has an excellent sense of style...and is cool as hell. lol. So hopefully we'll be the hottest ones there. Crazy rich catholic school girls. She was just too flattering to turn down. I mean, who could argue with her reasons. lol

Italian guy broke up with his gf Thursday. We were supposed to have what could be called a date Friday night; however, it was cancelled, so I spend the evening with Whit, Sarah, and Paul. Paul confronted me about Jai(his bf) concern's that I was flirting with him(Jai). Too which, as Whitney seconded, I was not flirting, I simply get to know people better by being excessively social and personable, it's just how I am. So anyway, after that was brought out, it was all good, and we were gonna go back for some hot tub fun, wow does that sound bad, but anyway, it didnt end up happening due to complications with actually heating up the hot tub. lol

Aside from that, I have spent the rest of my weekend at Starbucks due to us losing two people, and between that and all of the new people we are getting, who I have to train, at Target, my life for the next two weeks will be work. This week more than the next. I do however, have this Saturday off for sure, and possibly this Sunday too. So that will be a nice break. Also, I did get another raise last week, so that was a pleasant surprise.

This week I dont have classes on Tuesday, but I do have work at noon, so if anyone wants to go to breakfast or coffee in the morning, let me know. Ya know ya wanna.

A few random bits of new stuff lately...I finished cleaning out the room I will be renting starting June 1st, and all thats left is to get the carpets cleaned, and then im gonna start moving some of my stuff over. My birthday is in a month from this Thursday and that makes me happy. I'm taking two weeks off over the 4th of July to go to Cali to visit friends, and eventually Oregon to visit family. becuase of this, I will only take one semester of summer school, so this means I will actually have a few weeks where I wont have any classes at all. I havent had this in over two years. I think im gonna get some of my classes specific to my major done over the summer, since last year I just took stuff like all my writing classes and all that general crap. I'm kind of dreading the fall semester just because im tired of the whole work and school routine, but I also just want to get it done as soon as I can.

Anyway, that's all I can manage to remember, so hopefully everyone feels so informed about the most recent events in my life. lol

My Completely Pointless & Short Movie Reviews For the Week

A few of the movies I viewed this week:

I <3 huckabees: disappointing, but an interesting view nonetheless.

Be Cool: Entertaining and worth matinee price, but certainly not a buy.

Motorcycle Diaries: Immensely intelligent and entertaining. A wonderful movie and definately a must see if you tend to enjoy independant movies that occasionally require thought. The movie is also completely in Spanish, so you better enjoy subtitles. Overall, definately my favorite view of the week.

And there is a completely random update, yet an update nonetheless, so no more bitching that I never update.

I'm beginning to think I live at work.

I'm being terribly lazy and procrastinating like whoa on all my schoolwork.

I was asked to apply to be a team trainer at work for two seperate positions. I think i'll do it, even though I don't think I get a raise. I was also trained at Starbucks and am now a certified Starbucks barista.

There is a lot of relationship drama right now, but hopefully it will all work out. I really miss having someone, and I hope that emptiness will be filled soon, but I want it to be someone I truly care about, and am not just lying to myself about. So I guess there is really no rush. I've lasted the last few months on my own, so whats the harm in waiting a few more if need be.

I've come to the conclusion that I desperately need a vacation from everything for a short time, so I think I might actually ::gasp:: take a few days off work and go up to Phoenix with a few select friends or something, but only if I can afford it. Who knows.

Anyway, that's all that comes to mind right now, ao im gonna go get some sleep.
